We all wish for more hours in the day on a regular basis, keen to finish off our entire to do list and grab that feel good moment as a result. The problem is, we have a set number of hours and sometimes issues arise that cause our good intentions to fly off kilter.
If you’re keen to get more done in the time you do have, it’s important to research effective time management ideas ahead of time.
Here are three super-easy methods you can try today.
- Make sure you’re comfortable – You’re certainly not going to get as much done as you would like if you’re not comfortable and you’re noticing aches and pains. Ergonomic chairs are ideal for keeping your body in alignment, but when you’re away from your desk, make sure that you know how to sit correctly.
- Create a priority list – Writing a list of the tasks you need to do and then prioritising them in order of importance is key, but you could also go as far as colour coding it, to make important tasks really stand out! By doing your best to complete your list every day, you’re focusing your mind on an aim. If you find you’re noticing distractions, why not try desk pods or booths as a quick tip.
- Have regular breaks – It might sound counterproductive, but hear us out! Having regular breaks maintains focus and concentration. If you’re trying to power through an energy dip, you’re not going to be productive. Instead, have your breaks and drink plenty of energising water! You might also find switching between sitting and then using stand height tables could be a good boost for your mind, helping you to do more in the time you have.
