Ergonomic office chairs

We all know that ergonomic chairs are the best way to keep yourself in the correct sitting position whilst working long hours, but are these chairs all magical? Are there any downsides?

Everything has plus points and negatives, so in terms these types of office chairs, what are the true negatives to take on board?

The biggest is probably how to actually adjust the chair itself. Every product is different and whilst they all have standard adjustments, e.g. the height of the chair, the height of the seat back, seat length, seat tilt, and lumbar support, how to work them varies from chair to chair.

Another possible downside to ergonomic chairs in the modern office environment is their size, but also that they look very commercial and business-like. This might not be an issue for a standard office, but if you looking to purchase a piece of ergonomic furniture for your home, it may stand out like a sore thumb.

Despite the downsides however, there is no denying that ergonomics are the way forward if you want to be supported and comfortable throughout a long day in the office.
