When was the last time you wrote a letter to be sent to someone via the post?
It’s probably a while ago.
We tend to focus mostly on electronic versions these days, and even if written correspondence, e.g. a letter, is created it’s likely to be sent via email to the person’s inbox it concerns. As a result, our inboxes are far more cluttered than they were before!
Does that mean that typing old-fashioned written letters at our office chairs really are a thing of the past?
In terms of formal correspondence, there is still place for the old fashioned letter and there probably will be for a while to come. Nowadays, however, we’re seeing electronic signatures and scanned versions of letters more than regular printed and signed versions.
What do you think? Is it a sign of the times or something we should hold onto?
