Briggs Myers Personality Test

Some businesses check social media accounts prior to hiring new staff, but what about something altogether more useful after hiring?

The Briggs Myers Personality Tests helps to give you a specific personality type, and these are based on the teachings of Carl Jung. By identifying the type of personality you are, you can seek out opportunities to find the type of career to suit your inner being, and you can work on increasing your strengths and reducing your weaknesses. For instance, knowing that you are a strong person around conference tables and idea sharing means you can look for opportunities to do this. Equally, you might find that you are more of an introvert and you can therefore seek out the use of modular breakout furniture on occasion, to give you the peace and quiet you need to boost your creative thinking.

Taking it a step further, how about asking your staff if they would like to take this personality test? Of course, you cannot force someone, but it’s useful if your staff agree, because then you can manage each member of staff according to their personality far easier. This is a true sign of an effective manager! This could also help you with effective office space planning, because you can place different types of complimenting personalities together, and avoid clashes which could detrimentally effect morale. Remember, a little competition amongst staff members might be healthy, but full on turf wars are not!
