Gone are the days when storage needed to take up a whole room, with endless filing cabinets made of unsightly steel.
These days, office storage units are far more likely to literally blend into the office, almost invisible!
There are many ways you can avoid your storage literally standing out like a sore thumb, helping you to create a wonderful contemporary office appearance. Depending on your needs, you can choose from different storage wall solutions, or small storage units on wheels which can be moved around – and even stored in a place that doesn’t affect the way the office runs.
You could have cabinets which are literally integrated with the desks, and are even a smart, decorative unit!
How about shelving which is decorated in the same way as the wall, e.g. literally invisible to the naked eye?
You could even add in some biophilic elements with plants or leaves weaving their way along the surface.
Put simply, storage doesn’t have to be over the top, and it doesn’t need to be simply functional and unsightly.
These days, storage is part of the decor of the office itself! Of course, you should do your best to minimise the amount of storage you need in general, and that way you’re not keeping documents for too long.
