Let's Discuss - How to Avoid Boredom in The Boardroom

Published on 16/11/2018

We’ve all done it. We’ve all noticed a meeting in our diaries and though ‘oh no’. Some boardroom meetings are snooze-fests. Think uncomfortable boardroom chairs and endless off-topic chatter.

The problem is, your business needs meetings and collaborative sessions to be productive and make decisions. The key is to arrange your boardroom with attractive furniture and technology, to engage people within the meeting, and stop anyone from nodding off!

Think about white office furniture for instance, it’s shiny, it’s attractive. Comfortable chairs, a colourful room. This creates a more alert feel to the space. Another thing you need to consider carefully is technology.

Creating an interactive space is key to engaging those within the room. There are countless different types of boardroom tech these days, but going for touch screen options, ways you can interact with not only those in the room but those outside of it, is a great idea. Interactive presentations are more fun than OHP slides and PowerPoint, and the days of flip pads and marker pens are long gone!

New technology, when used in conjunction with quality furniture, such as a white boardroom table, is key to engagement in the boardroom.

Have you been in any particularly great meetings lately? What kind of technology did they use? Being able to pull everyone together and explore the presentation interactively is much more fun than staring at a wall and listening to someone talk!
