Being positive is always better than being negative, right? By being more upbeat, you cultivate a sense of possibility, attract opportunities, and you’re basically happier as a result. Doesn’t it stand to reason therefore that a positive office is always going to be a more productive and profitable office space?
There is a very real link between high morale and high profits, so it’s within your best interests to concentrate on positivity.
How can you do this? Put your employees’ wellbeing first, listen to their ideas, encourage them to come up with new ideas around the collaborative office furniture, celebrate their successes, encourage learning, and basically treat them as they deserve to be treated!
When morale is high, positivity is naturally high too. Have an open door policy for your employees to talk to management when they need to, celebrate birthdays, encourage team building exercises, have sociable nights out occasionally, and also make sure that your staff have all the cool office furniture they need. Ensuring that your space looks positive too, with bright colours and comfortable furniture, should also do the trick.
By asking your employees what they need and would like to do their job well, you’ll be able to identify some useful information and when you act on it, you’re showing them that you’re listening and that you care. If an employee request a large modern office desk because they need more space, think about it rationally and accommodate the request, if you can!
Increasing positivity is about the small things – encouragement, value, and giving credit where credit is due.
