Workplace Happiness

We all know that happy workers are productive workers, but how can you measure just how happy your employees are? After all, we’re always told that goals need to be measurable to ensure that we’re doing the right things to make them happen!

Measuring happiness in your workplace can be difficult because there is no set data you can collect. You could ask someone sat at their office tables whether they’re happy or not and they might just say “yes” because they feel they should. By doing that, you’re not getting an accurate reflection.

Perhaps the best way to measure just how happy your workers are, apart from asking them and trying to decipher whether they’re being truthful or not, is to look at productivity and output. If you’re noticing any of the following signs, the chances are that your workplace is a happy spot to be!

  • Your staff seem to be smiling a lot
  • You’re noticing more ideas coming from collaborative sessions around the meeting room tables
  • There are less sick days
  • Output it up
  • Less mistakes are being made
  • Customer feedback is improved
  • The vibe of the contemporary office seems far more positive
  • You’re retaining staff

If you can agree with these signs, your workplace happiness level is certainly on the rise!

Can you think of any other measurable happiness aspects?
