Is The Hyperchair The Answer to Thermal Comfort Control?

Hyperchair

You know how it goes; one employee is sweating in the corner, another is sat on their office chair shivering away, and nobody can quite agree on what the right temperature should be. Humans all have their own thermostat it seems, and it can be hard to please everyone. Of course, if someone is too hot or too cold, they’re not going to be ultra-productive, so how can you solve the problem?

Enter the hyperchair – the high-tech office chair that heats up or cools down depending on the individual’s preferences.

This is a new type of office seating which allows employees to individually regulate their thermal environment with heating elements and cooling fans. This new development is all down to the seating pad which has a special tape within it; this tape works in a very similar way to a heated car seat and keeps you toasty warm when the air temperature is chilly. But, what do you do if you’re too warm?
You turn off the heating, or turn it down using the individual control, and turn on a fan!

This type of chair is ideal for reducing overheads, e.g. heating bills, and also makes everyone far more comfortable in their own surroundings. If you have a particular hot office, a mesh office chair will also work well, because it allows air to circulate around the body. In this case, your office chair could be your own personal thermostat!

Have you used a hyperchair before?
