We all know that some meetings are, shall we say, a little yawn-inducing? We often waste many hours in meetings that we don’t really need, but what about the ones we do need? We need a top quality space for those! A survey by eShare shows that we spend around 10 hours per week in meetings - that’s a lot!

As you can see, comfort in terms of lighting and temperature are key, but also how the room is decorated and the type of furniture you choose.
The key points to remember are:
- Comfort – Think about air conditioning, heating, and make sure that your chairs are super comfortable. Here at Calibre Office Furniture, we know how important comfortable chairs are for meeting which might go on a little longer than necessary! You should also think about refreshments, so certainly a water fountain at the very least.
- Supportive furniture – Aside from chairs you need to think contemporary boardroom tables which have support and comfort as part of their design.
- Natural lighting – Too much overhead false lighting is distracting and makes your eyes tired; the more natural light you can get into your space, the more awake your delegates will be!
- Add in some nature – Add some plants and think about natural colours as these are ideal for prompting a more innovative and creative atmosphere.
- Technology – These days there are countless types of boardroom technologies you can utilise for a more productive outcome to your meetings.
