Office Features Focusing on Improving Mental Health

We live in stressful times, and if a business wants to be super-productive, it needs to look after its most valuable asset – it’s employees.

Companies like Apple and Google have this down-pat, with yoga studios, gyms, napping rooms, ball pools, huge garden spaces, you name it, they’ve probably got it, and probably bigger and better than anyone else! Whilst your business might not have the space to accommodate saunas and spas, you can look into a few other areas, such as comfortable office furniture, and making the most of the outdoor space on-site.

Staff can’t sit at their office desks 24/7, it’s simply not feasible, and breaks need to be taken! During breaks or whenever staff feel they simply need to get away from their bespoke office desks on occasion, give them somewhere to go – it’s that easy!

Many businesses have fitness centres on site, and if they don’t have space, they offer discounts for nearby ones. Perhaps offer yoga sessions during lunch breaks, and utilise the garden if you have one, on sunny days. Canteen areas should be available, perhaps with a coffee shop-style design, for total relaxation.

By focusing on these added extras, you’re helping your staff deal with stress and pressure. Mental health is something that nobody wants to talk about, but something which everyone needs to have a conversation about occasionally. A business which focuses on the mental wellbeing of their staff will be far more successful than otherwise. Of course, this also comes down to individual workstations too, so if you’re looking for the best office furniture set up, give us a call on 0800 0125 654, or drop us an email
