We all know that we need to be more active in the workplace, to avoid the risks of a sedentary lifestyle, but how can you achieve that, without allowing your work to suffer?
Being more active isn’t as hard as you might think, but there are two types of office equipment which may make your working day productive, whilst giving you more in the way of exercise – stand height tables and a treadmill desk.
Which is better?
Both get you moving, but one gets you moving from than the other. A treadmill desk will allow you to gently walk whilst you’re working, but the problems that these types of desks are very large and bulky. They’re also expensive. With this in mind, treadmill options might not be the most mainstream choice for most businesses, despite their advantages.
On the other hand, standing desks allow you the choice between sitting and standing, still giving you an energy and focus boost, but with far less impact on the rest of your office furniture. They are also a cost-effective option, compared to treadmill desks.
