Female manager

Life is ever changing; some developments are quite unwelcome, whereas others are welcomed with open arms. More and more women are taking up managerial positions and sitting at CEO desks, in businesses which have long been male dominated.
That is one very welcome change.

Check out this interesting infographic, which highlights some fantastic female managerial statistics

There are some great statistics there, although one which does need addressing – the UK currently still has a 9.4% pay gap in place.
Let’s hope that with more awareness of the issue, that rights itself in the short-term. We should all be equal!

Managerial positions are difficult no matter what your gender or age. Millennials face managerial challenges, just as experienced managers do. The modern office is about managing personalities and people, not just about increasing profits, and that has required a shift towards a more empathic way of dealing with managerial issues.

The fact that more and more women are taking up leading roles in business is a hugely encouraging step, and with a wide range of personalities around the oval boardroom table, collaborating and sharing ideas, this can only be beneficial for businesses across the country.

Are you a kick-ass female boss? What challenges have you faced in your rise to the top?
