Put simply, we’re all about flexibility these days, possessing the ability to roll with the punches and work in any way we need to, in order to get the job done. It makes sense therefore that an office layout needs to be equally as flexible, not only to make room for luxurious office furniture, but to allow employees to work in a way which is super-productive overall. 

A combination office layout is often considered to be one of the most flexible types of layouts. The name really gives it away, because it is a mixture of two of the most common types of office layouts around, i.e. the cellular and open plan types. By combining these, you’re getting the pros (and the cons) of both, and that adds up to a huge dose of productivity. 

Usually, a combination layout has individual sections and large collaborative sections, and these are all linked together by corridors, allowing ease of movement between the two. This means you’re getting a common area with modular office furniture, and you’re getting quieter areas, perhaps for management, or for tasks which require more focus. You can also incorporate other endeavours, such as a storage wall, to save space in the common areas and ensure plenty of room for employees to work.
