Improve your core at work

You’ve no doubt heard about your ‘core muscles’. These are the muscles which lead to a stronger body overall, but also the muscles which ensure your posture is correct, leading to less chance of injury, less chance of back pain, and far less chance of general physical fatigue at the end of the day. 

When you’re sat at your office desk however, how can you exercise that core of yours? Well, it turns out it’s far easier than you might think! More and more offices are incorporating standing desks into their office furniture and design repertoire. This means you can alternate between sitting and standing throughout the day, stretching out those core muscles, as well as your back. You’ll also get a boost of focus too, simply be getting a little exercise. 

During your breaks, why not do a little yoga, or do some yoga at your desk? Stretching exercises aren’t hard and can be done quite easily without everyone noticing!

Why not encourage your office neighbour to get stretching with you, and you won’t feel quite so out of place! Working out your core is vital for a healthy body, but it also gives you extra blood flow to your brain. All of this leads to less fatigue during the day, and a more productive you.
