How to Focus When Your Mind is Set on Wandering

There is nothing worse than knowing you have a deadline to meet, yet you simply can’t focus your mind enough to stay on track. Everything attracts your attention, everything other than what you’re supposed to be focusing on!

Distractions are everywhere, but it’s important to know a few tricks in order to focus in those mind-wandering moments. If you don’t do this, you’re never going to be as productive as you’d like!

To help you you overcome issues such as this and get your work done on time, there are two specific hacks you can use. The first is exercise, and the second is breath. 

Firstly, get up and walk around, head outside for some fresh air if you can, and if not, use stand height tables to give you a sitting and standing alternative. 

Secondly, whilst sitting in your office chairs, close your eyes for a minute and focus on your breathing. Notice yourself breathing in, for a count of five, in a slow manner, an then exhaling in the same manner. The more yo duo this, the calmer your mind will be, and you’ll be able to focus much better as a result.
