According to the HSE, there were 595,000 cases of work related stress in the UK during 2017/18. That’s a huge number of people living a rather miserable life. In addition, 15.4 million working days were lost during the same period. 

We need to do something to kick stress out! We also need to ensure our office furniture design creates a calm and peaceful atmosphere as the very starting point.

As you can see, it can be as simple as giving yourself some time to simply ‘be’, focusing on you and spend time with friends and family, whilst also adding some exercise into your day. Organise yourself at work, get rid of clutter, and address the issues which are causing you to feel so overwhelmed. 

If you need five minutes to yourself, head out to the office breakout furniture area and take a second to breathe. Try some breathing exercises for deep relaxation, as these are very useful in helping us to calm down from an issue which has caused our stress or panic to spike. If your office doesn’t have this type of area, simply head into the meeting room and sit on one of the boardroom chairs for a minute - the outcome is the same.
