Time management rules

Here at Calibre Office Furniture, we are big believers in using time management techniques to get the most out of the day. When you do this, you are less stressed, you are far more productive, and overall far happier as a result.

Time management is something everyone should know about, whether you sit at executive desks as a manager, or you work remotely, from the far-flung corners of the globe! Being able to manage your time means you can meet deadlines far more easily, and you’re less likely to make mistakes. In addition, utilising furniture choices which increase productivity even more, such as an office screens, booths or desk pods for better concentration, is another route to go down.

So, what are the five rules of time management?

  1. Set daily goals that are realistic and achievable
  2. Prioritise your work in a realistic manner, understanding that interruptions may occur
  3. Delegate certain tasks if you are able to
  4. Break large tasks up into smaller, achievable milestones, to make greater strides towards completion
  5. Avoid procrastination at all costs. Breaking tasks up into milestones can do this, but promising yourself a reward at the end of the day might also help!

Time management works in any situation, whether you’re sat around a conference table discussing an important issue, you’re juggling several tasks that need to be completed by a set date, or you’re trying to complete old tasks which have simply sat there, festering and stressing you out! Time management is the answer to all of these problems and situations.

How do you incorporate time management into your day?
