Multifunctional office space

If you want to create the best office environment possible for your employees, you need to be thinking about something called the agile workplace.

This is basically a space which has everything you need within it, and is divided up into spaces to ensure productivity and comfort.

As you can see, within those elements are the breakout space and the touchdown space. What is the difference between the two?

The breakout space is designed for relaxation and also collaboration, whereas the touchdown space is designed to be a spot for quick tasks to be completed, e.g. checking emails, meeting debriefs, and not designed to be used for more than around an hour at a time.

A breakout space will have armchairs and sofas, tub chairs, booths, maybe benches – designed with relaxation and creativity in mind.
A touchdown space may have sleek office tables and computers, helping staff complete quick tasks. This type of space is ideal for remote workers who are calling into the office to complete a task. Both spaces may make use of office screen partitions, or acoustic panels.

Which of the two spaces do you find most useful?
