Late night work

You might think that if you work late on a regular basis, your boss is going to be super-impressed by your dedication.

Would it surprise you to learn that’s not the case?

Working late on a regular basis can actually make you look incompetent, because your boss is going to wonder why you can’t fit everything into the time you spent sitting at your high end office furniture! In addition, studies have shown that working too much can actually cause a decline in your cognitive function over time.

Surely that’s a reason to leave the office on time? Of course, you should also be taking your breaks, to give your brain a boost and your productivity too.

By staying late you’re also impacting on your home and work life balance to a detrimental amount. Whilst you’re sat in your office chair, working away, you’re missing spending time with friends and family! We have set working hours for a reason!

If you need a little help with achieving that home and work life balance, as many people do,

The amount of time you spend in your office should be productive, and shouldn’t require extra hours to be put in. It’s also important to utilise spaces for relaxation throughout the day too, to recharge your batteries on break times. Modular breakout furniture solutions are always an excellent alternative, in a quiet space for a few minutes’ time out.

Do you regularly stay late at the office?
