Home office

Working from home is a very popular flexible working arrangement, but it does hinge on one thing – the ability to set up a home office which is both comfortable and productive. From a home point of view, you also want this office space to blend in with your home decor and not stand out too much as commercial.

There are some very common mistakes that most home office workers make. To help you out, make sure you tick these items off your home office space planning checklist.

  • Choose funky office lounge furniture which looks homely as well as functional
  • Disguise your office storage by using small cabinets or decorating box files in the same wallpaper you have on your walls
  • Use an ergonomic chair for comfort during long working hours
  • If possible, use a spare room for your office, which you can close the door on when you’re not working
  • When your working hours are finished, lock the office door and leave it behind. One of the key problems is working beyond time and disturbing the home and work life balance
  • Avoid sitting in bed to do your work, you’ll only end up with back ache!

If you don’t pay attention to these tips, your home office is simply going to fail you!
