The architectural nature of the this range is also subtly emphasised by the acoustic PET felt that covers the table column. The porous surface absorbs sound, while the vertical cut-outs disperse some of the sound waves. The textural pattern of vertical lines is another allusion to the column, an element of classical architecture, and a modern interpretation of its design. The hollow cylinders are filled in an environmentally friendly way, with upholstery scraps that are no longer suitable for production, but have excellent acoustic properties for high-end sound absorption.
