Change Your Office Colour Scheme

It’s a good idea to have an office redecoration every so often; after all, a change is as good as a rest! One of the quickest and easiest ways to revamp your space is to change the colour scheme, rather than go for an all out change to your furniture design.
Simple changes can make huge waves, but it’s important to get the choices right, in order to create the right atmosphere and effect.

You’re probably aware that colour can affect mood, but do you know which colours invoke which types of mood?
If you opt for cheap sofas in a certain colour, do you know how it’s going to make people feel?

That should give you some ideas in terms of which colours you should be opting for, but it’s also important to remember that your brand identify needs to be reflected in your decor too. It’s no good going for bright colours if your business is about something serious! Similarly, you shouldn’t go for muted options if your business is something joyful, e.g. children’s toys.

Before you make a choice, ask yourself these questions:

  • Will this colour scheme reflect our business values and brand identity?
  • Will this colour scheme inspire productivity and happiness in the office?
  • Will this colour scheme compliment our existing office furniture?
  • Will this colour scheme last the for a few years before it requires a change?

These are questions you need to know the answers to before grabbing a paint brush! If you have white office furniture, you’ll find that most colour palettes will ‘go’, but if you have darker furniture, you might need to think about either replacing, or working around it.

Have you recently changed your office colour scheme?
