Daily Habits of Productive People

In order to be productive at work, you need to be able to create a routine which gets your mind in the right place, before you arrive at the office. This obviously starts with eating a healthy and nutritious breakfast, but what else can you do to ensure that you’re firmly on your game when the clock strikes 9am?

Some of the most productive people on the planet all have very similar habits, but most of them centre around health and wellbeing, basically looking after number one. It’s not being selfish, it’s about creating a routine which focuses on giving you the tools to be the best you can possibly be.

So, if you want to be a super-productive person, whether at home or in the office, what habits should you employ?

Check out this video for a few ideas

This video gives you seven habits which can make your life in general more productive, and the good news is that they’re really easy to start! You might wonder why reading the news and listening to audiobooks and podcasts, whether at your office desks or not, can help you become productive, but it’s about giving your brain a break on occasion. If everything is work, work, work, you’re actually going to become less productive, because everyone needs a break!

Stay organised

Refocusing your brain and actually strengthening it by trying brain training exercises can actually help you come up with new ideas and answers to problems. Whilst you’re sat in your office chair you will be able to easily summon creative ideas!

Looking After Number One

Focusing on overall health and wellbeing is another way to ensure you’re productive and sharp. This includes:

  • Ensuring you eat a filling and healthy breakfast every morning
  • Drinking plenty of water for hydration
  • Make sure you have enough regular exercise every week, even trying out yoga at your desk if need be!
  • Have enough sleep every single night, to ensure mental and physical sharpness

Becoming comfortable at your work space is also vital. This means corporate furniture which is supportive and ergonomically designed to help you complete all tasks without aches and pains. Businesses can easily find all manner of furniture types by shopping around and looking at budgets. Office furniture finance packages might also be a way to ensure that your staff are comfortable and supported during the working week, if you’re on a tight budget.

Cutting out stress is another piece of the productivity jigsaw, and something which highly productive people avoid at all costs. Make sure you take your breaks, always eat your lunch away from your desk, and make use of modular breakout furniture when you need five minutes’ time out.

Avoiding stress whenever possible is a vital part of being productive, but also part of being healthy too. Of course, sometimes stress can’t be avoided and in that case, you need to learn about stress management, to reduce stress levels and create a more harmonious state of mind.
