We all know we need to be more environmentally aware, and in the office that implementing practices which are environmentally sustainable too. Those are two large words, so how can we go about making them a reality?

Here at Calibre Office Furniture, we’re all about saving the planet, and that means looking into new practices which not only do their bit for the environment, but as a side effect, they actually boost your profits too.
Here are a few things to tick off your sustainability to do list.
- Are you recycling? If not, it’s time to start. Recycle paper, bottles, platics, you can use rechargeable batteries!
- Check your electricity bills. Where can you save cash and the planet? Those ‘stand by’ lights should be the first thing to go…
- How old is your office furniture? Check what it is made of and whether it is likely to be giving out emissions.
- Encourage staff to lower their carbon footprint and walk/cycle to work, or at least car share
- Switch the food in your canteen to organic choices, such as organic avocados for extra brain boosting power!
- Turn down the air conditioning and open the windows instead!
Being environmentally sustainable is about creating a successful business which ticks boxes to look after the planet, and creates a comfortable space for your employees, such as supportive business furniture in place.
