To Do Lists – Digital or Traditional?

To Do List

In order to be productive at work, you need to know what you have to do and the order in which you’re going to do it. For many years, the tool of choice was the to do list. Of course, times have changed and we’re now far more technologically-minded than we have ever been before.

How you arrange your tasks for the day is a personal choice in many ways, and it comes down to how you can optimise your methods for the best productivity levels. For a few hints and tips, check out this video.

One person’s productivity methods are different to another person’s, that’s a truth. You might need a highly personalised desk in order to be productive, whilst another person might just need a computer. The method of arranging work is also different from person to person. If you check out office furniture blogs (such as ours), you’ll see various tips for office space productivity, but it is often more about how the employee organises their workload, e.g. their prioritising skills.

A traditional to do list is basically a list, and within that list you number the tasks in order of importance. You would therefore cross them off as you complete them. A digital to do list is more along the lines of an app, and there will be extra features involved, such as alerts and reminders.

Which do you prefer? As we move into an age of stylish office desks and sleek design, perhaps we should allow our to do lists to move with the modern age too!
