Save paper in the office

We’re all very aware that we need to do our bit for the environment, and one way to do that is to limit the amount of paper used in the office space.

Check out this infographic by Regpacks for a few reasons why this is so important.

As you can see, 50% of business waste can be contributed towards paper. If you can cut that down, you’re seriously doing your bit for the planet and possibly even working towards the final aim of going paperless

That’s a huge goal to work towards, but some ways you can achieve it include:

  • Use computer software to store information, and avoid the use for contemporary office storage cabinets
  • Use digital marketing instead of printed brochures and flyers
  • Use emails rather than paper, e.g. for reports and agendas
  • Ask staff to be mindful of how much they are printing and to cut it right down
  • If you have to print, use double sided and recycle what you can

Having less paper is also a top tip by office space planners on creating more room within your office space. Paper takes up a huge amount of space! This gives you more room for the types of office furniture that you really want in your office, whilst also ticking the environmentally friendly box all at the same time.
