Planning an office renovation

When you’re in the midst of an exciting office renovation, it’s easy to become stuck in the here and now. You know what you want for the time you’re in, and you’re keen and eager to get it! That’s understandable, but what about the future? Are you planning on expanding your workforce? Do you think you’ll need more space for extra desks?

These are all things you need to consider when you’re planning out a renovation. If you fail to do this, you’ll end up having to go through another renovation in a year or two’s time, and that’s going to add up to a very costly exercise! Here at Calibre, we use a range of different tools to help with designing your ideal office space, including computer aided design (CAD). By knowing what you need in the future, e.g. a desire to expand your boardroom, perhaps equip it with fancy boardroom leather chairs, you’ll save cash and stress in the long-run.

You should also give some thought to the types of furniture you want now, but also what you might want at a later date. For instance, are you thinking of incorporating a break out area, but not quite yet? How about office sofas? These take up space, so knowing what you want will allow you to get it, without future stress.

Whilst you in the midst of your renovation, remember to think about your reception area too. This is the area where clients and customers will form their very first impression, so go for something equally as impressive! How about funky blue and glass reception desks? These give that calm, tranquil feel, whilst seriously looking the part.
