We all know that breakout areas are fantastic additions to any office space. This is an area which allows employees to collaborative, chill out, take five minutes peace and quiet on the office tub chairs, or simply sit and work on a quick task within a different environment.
Decorating your breakout area in a creative and inspiring way is vital if you want to encourage your employees to continue using the space, so how can you tell when it’s time to freshen things up a little?
If you’re nothing these signs, it’s time to take action:
- Your employees aren’t using the space as much as before
- The furniture within your space is showing signs of wear and tear
- The area simply looks dull and uninspiring
- There isn’t a lot of space for collaboration, e.g. not enough space for a round office desk or brainstorming area
You can easily freshen up your breakout area without splashing major cash. In some ways it’s simply about a lick of paint. Your breakout furniture may include modular seating alternatives, a few armchairs or sofas for comfort. Move things around to get more natural light flowing inside. These can often be enough to boost engagement with the area.
